The Pennsylvania Sports Writers announced their All-State boys basketball teams on Thursday and several players from the WFMZ coverage region were among those recognized for the 2023-34 season.
Seniors Nick Coval, of Parkland, and Yadiel Cruz, of Reading, led the way as first team selections in the 6A classification. East Stroudsburg South junior Jaen Chatman was named to the first team in 5A and Pocono Mountain West junior Adrian Brito landed on the 5A second team.
In Class 4A, ACC junior Jahrel Vigo and Berks Catholic senior Kingston McCoy both were named to the third team and a pair of seniors were also chosen in Class 3A as Executive Education's Rylan Muniz and Palmerton's Matthew Machalik appear on the first team and second team, respectively.
Finally, Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg senior Xavier Spears was named to the second team in Class 1A.
