VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT POWER GENERATION FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2017China Power Clean Energy Development Company Limited (the "Company") announces that, according to the Company's preliminary statistics, the combined total power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively the "Group") from 1 January to 30 June 2017 (the "First Half") was 4,659,796.77 MWh, slightly decreased by 10.67% when compared to the same period of 2016.
Since (i) the volume of base power generation allocated by the government at the beginning of the year to Phases I and II of Guangdong Dongguan Project decreased as a result of power market reform in Guangdong Province, (ii) in June 2017, Phases I and II of Guangdong Dongguan Project coordinated with the Guangdong Power Grid and commenced grid maintenance and repair work, and (iii) water flow in Fujian area decreased when compared to the same period last year, affecting the power generated from hydropower projects, the total power generation of the Group in the first half of the year declined when compared to the same period in 2016.
On the other hand, the increase in power generation as a result of (i) the improvement in situation of photovoltaic power curtailment, (ii) the commencement of full operation of photovoltaic projects in Sichuan Panzhihua, Jiangxi Ji'an, Guangdong Dongguan Huimei and Zhejiang Yunhe and (iii) the improvement in situation of wind power curtailment in Phases I to V of Gansu Jiuquan Project and the wind power generated in the Hubei Macheng Chunyangshan Project reduced the extent of the net decline.
